Was watching Wimbledon tonight with dd (age 2.0) while we ate (sue me, I'm a bad mummy) and these were her comments on about 10 minutes of the early part of the Murray-Gasquet match:

"What's he doing?"
"He's winning"
"He doesn't feel very well"
"He needs a drink"
"He's wiping"
"He's got shorts"
"He pick it up"
"He gave it to the little man"
"I want some more strawberries puhleeese" (not strictly tennis commentary, but relevant to wimbledon, I feel)

and then, the very philosophical:

"That's tennis..."

Maybe this was only funny cos I'm her mummy and you had to be there to hear her tone of voice but I felt she gave John McEnroe a run for his money...

Anyone else's LO been commentating on the footie or tennis?

LOL I don't think DS has quite "Got" football yet.I asked ds what was happening after leaving the room during the Spain/Germany match and he said solemnly "The goalkeeper just fell over,Mummy" when Cassitas (sp ?) dived to save a shot on goal!!!!

DD thinks all sports are tennis... Whatever sport comes on the telly; football, basketball, she says "tennis!"
