Gallbladder Removal and Toddler

Hey,
I had my gallbladder removed Friday and really trying to relax and recover but I have a 2 year old. Surgeon said no heavy lifting for 2 weeks but the paperwork says no heavy lifting for 4-6. Has anybody else been in the same boat? When did you start lifting your toddlers again? Did it push back your incision’s healing or push back recovery? My partner goes away in 3 weeks so I really need to be lifting her by then really. I’m worried.

I tried to take it easy for first two weeks but I was back to lifting 3yo in shorter bursts from then on. I didn’t go back to lifting heavy weights (as in weight training) till 6 weeks though. I found recovery was very straightforward though, I was back running after 10 days as I was going stir crazy.

Okay this makes me feel better. After the 2 week mark, my expectation is to be able to lift her into the car and drive her because we really don’t have the help around us for another week
