My 16yr old has apparently used an App on hi iPhone to take a photo of me to calculate my age "Oops Dad - it says 63 - try another photo but smiling this time - ah 55 thats better". The penny just dropped that he is using my face to age-verify age-restricted content. I mentioned it to a couple of mates, and their kids have done the same to them. Kids are crafty...

Dont you usually have to move your face on these verification sites, certainly do on the ones the government uses, in which case, a photo won’t really work

Or you could just pick any photo from Facebook, etc. Why would they need to hassle their parents?

Ok, I was generalising a bit the sipposed age estimation app took images from various angles to calculate my age, he was used me to age verify, when I figured it out, he fessed up, and said his pals are doing the same with their parents as well...
