Norwich - parking

Heading to Norwich shopping tomorrow, arriving around 11am. Does anyone know if the city centre car parks always fill up and if I’m better doing the park and ride? Will have a car full.

I'm not sure about weekdays as we usually go on a sat and do tend to use the P&R because it can be busy in the city parking wise.

I use the Postwick park and ride as come in from that side. It is great. Wouldn't want to be driving into Norwich.

If you’re entering the city from the north, St Andrew’s car park is convenient.

From the south - St Stephen’s, John Lewis and Chantry Place.

It was Saturday type busy but not heaving today.

P&R is so easy and convenient. I’m not sure why anyone would battle their way into the centre, irrespective of whether parking spaces are available or not

I drive straight into the centre and go to St Giles by town hall or St Andrews on Duke Street. Both super central

We always park at Chantry place. The queue always looks horrific but moves quickly. We go almost every weekend, arriving around 1-2pm and never had an issue getting a space. Norwich is our local shopping centre. I’d never use park and ride as can’t be bothered with the faff of getting a bus when parking always works out fine.

We drove straight into the Forum last Monday when there was a huge queue at Chantry Place. St Steven’s is actually pretty close to the other Chantry entrance, literally a couple of minutes walk.

Thank you all v much. I’ll head to chantry place first as that’s where the kids want to shop, and take it from there. We’re not in a rush so can always try elsewhere or even the park and ride afterwards if no joy.
