Bloody printer has stopped working! Need to print desperately and it has chosen now to stop working. Only got it a couple of months ago, bought new ink for it yesterday, and now it's just stopped.
Typical! And dp (who is an IT and anything technical wizz, but is at work) says I'm always negative, well perhaps it's because things like this always, always happen!!

You must be lucky to have such an easy life if something so trivial could make you so angry.

ajandjjmum · 11/06/2008 11:57

From experience, I know it's not trivial when you're working to a deadline!

3kids1cat · 11/06/2008 11:59

No actually my life isn't easy in the slightest, it's a constant struggle and I needed to print something out which may just, just, have helped slightly. That is why I'm so angry.

cornsilk · 11/06/2008 11:59

Why is it trivial? What's it for 3kids?

cornsilk · 11/06/2008 12:00

x post with you 3cats!

lazarou · 11/06/2008 12:03

Are you using windows vista?

WenchConnection · 11/06/2008 12:03

Sorry that was a bit uncalled for, I've just had a hard time of late but understand small things can be mightily upsetting. Here's a post of mine from earlier, hopefully then you know not to take it personally

Mad dash after being told my grandad had hours to live, three days with no sleep helping to nurse him at home

My head split open by a pint glass thrown from a balcony in a club, five hours in A&E whilst totally pissed

DD on oxygen in hospital with Croup

DS in hospital with a nasty ear infection and a fever that stayed over 40 for two days

My Grandad died

My nan was devestated by insensitive twats from social services the day my grandad died

Cousin beaten up by people in balaclavas with metal bars the night before the funeral

Left half our luggage on the train home yesterday and it hasn't turned up yet

All in a fortnight, So hopefully they don't come in threes

Cornsilk,- I am trying to make extra money by selling bags and paintings at a festival on saturday, and needed to print out designs onto transfer paper, and some business cards to hand out. We are in the shit financially, and my mum lent me some money to buy the things I needed, in the hope I could end up making a little bit back. She has the afternoon off work and has taken 11mo dd out so I can finish things off, as I get no other time to do it.

lazarou, yes I am using vista, and and epson printer.

WenchConnection- It was a harsh assumption to make that my life is easy. My Dad was operated on for Lung cancer on friday, he is not doing well. My dp works non stop to put food on the table, and pay bills, and pay off debt, which means we hardly see each other. We, like lots of others are in debt, deeply, and I am trying my hardest to keep it together and help us have a better life. I am sorry you are having a hard time of things lately, you must be a strong woman to deal with all you have going on, if I had seen your post I would have posted sympathetically and not just compared your problems with my own. I hope things get better for you soon, and your luggage turns up.

Thanks for your sympathy vibes Ruby, it wasn't what I needed or wanted when I posted, just needed to rant about this piece of printer.

Some make my printer work vibes might come in handy though, if you have any spare.

lazarou · 11/06/2008 12:32

When ibought my printer I realised it was incompatible with Vista? Has yours been working fine until now? If so, when you go to print does it give you a choice of (copy 1) (copy 2)

If it does then choose copy 1, it may work. If not then go to the printer website and see their customer support advice, or phone them.

If it really is broken can you take it back to the store?

Sorry to hear about your dad 3kids1cat, just like real life you sometimes say things without thinking on here.

I agree with it being the small things that make you flip. I got a taxi with the D's to my grans house the day after my grandad died and te taxi driver grumbled that I gave him a £20 note. I ended up in tears.

Life is fecking hard sometimes.

mollysawally · 11/06/2008 12:51

I was 19 when my dad died and left my mum with no money, I took on all the emotional and financial responsibility of looking after my elderly mother and for 5 years things were pretty much hell.. and it's ALWAYS the little things that send you over the edge. You seem to cope and get through the big bad events that happen, almost as if your expecting them to go wrong, but when every little thing goes wrong as well, it feels as if the whole world is against you.

3KIDS I'm sending out 'printer fixing' vibes and also 'sell lots of bag' vibes.

I hope things improve for you soon

mollysawally · 11/06/2008 12:53

And my dp is always telling me I'm negative as well!

3kids1cat · 11/06/2008 13:03

Oh it has completely had it. Just opened it up and found ink leaked all over the inside. Arrgh, stupid, stupid, stupid.

Right I'm going to have a cup of tea, calm down and think of some other way of getting round this. And thanks for all your vibes, even if they didn't help

OP posts:
lazarou · 11/06/2008 13:23

Well, I'm assuming the cartridge was in there when you bought it, so you should take the printer back and get a refund or a replacement.
