Gift card amount

Its my partners birthday next week. Its his first as a dad. I've got him a thoughtful gift, a personalised card and he wanted some new clothes a few month ago so thought I'd get him a Next gift voucher. How much do you think is a good amount to put on the voucher?

Depends on your budget and what you can afford.
Any idea what he is likely to want to buy? If so look online at how much it costs and basically put that amount on - if you can afford it.

How much do you normally spend on him. Do that minus the thoughtful gift cost. He doesn't get extra £ because he's now a dad!
