This may seem particularly sad to some… but I’ve just bought my first tumble dryer!!!! I am excited 😂😂. Can anyone give some dos/donts for what I can put in it or how to use it?

Congratulations- you won't look back! Ours gets used for pants/socks/bedding/towels. Other clothes I tend to hang - maybe fear of shrinkage? Towels I dry mostly outside if the weather is good enough, and finish them in the dryer to soften up.

Get yourself some wool drier balls, and don’t use fabric softener/softner sheets. Do remove lint regularly and from all lint filters.

Thankyou so much…. Never heard of a wool dryer ball before.. what does that do?

Dryer balls help keep towel soft. The advantage of the wool ones is they help speed up the drying as well as being more ecological https://www.thewoolcompany.co.uk/products/wool-laundry-balls-set-of-6

Clean the fluff trap every time and if there is a water collection tank clean that too.

I love my tumble drier, it really saves so much time and there is no damp stuff in the house
