My sister will be turning 30 in a couple of weeks. Any ideas for presents? She is always up for a laugh and likes unusual things. Thanks for your help. x

What about some vouchers for a pampering session?

Merlot · 22/01/2005 22:24

Depends on how much you want to spend, but how about something like this?

pixiefish · 22/01/2005 22:24

Personally I would have loved a day at a health farm. instead my dh bought me a 'fun' pack from whsmiths which gave me the option of - microglide, paintball, go-karting.... etc.... get the picture

Aero · 22/01/2005 22:24

or tickets to something you know she'd enjoy?

Aero · 22/01/2005 22:28

My dh (bless him) bought me a Red Letter Day Experience for Christmas, but I returned it today, as I can't see how I'd practically be able to use it.
Also, if you just book the venue, it's much cheaper so if you wanted to book some pampering, maybe you could afford to take yourself with her and enjoy a day together doing something relaxing.

One of the best presents I have ever given was a shoe box filled with little wrapped presents. I tailor it to the person I am giving it to. For example on my sisters 30th I filled the box with her favourite sweets from when she was a kid sherbert dib dabs, space dust etc I also put in old photos of us in the 80s and a wham cd. Lots of bits and bobs really, smellies lipgloss etc. I did the same for my fil retirement, he was going around oz for a year so I put in loads of useful things. Ive become renowned for my bday prezzies same idea but different everytime.

oops, sorry Merlot - just saw your post!

Aero · 22/01/2005 22:30

That's a lovely idea Lucy5.

SPARKLER1 · 22/01/2005 22:45

Red letter experiences sound lovely but are way out of my price range. Need to keep the cost down as much as possible.

How about one of those bags that you get a photo put on the side - you must have a really 'good' one from when she was a child ?
I like the shoebox idea too !

SPARKLER1 · 24/01/2005 21:29

I think I saw someone with one of those bags the other day. Where do you get them?
