Have just bought a range cooker, but currently have double oven fitted and separate hob.
Have just had an estimate of £65 plus VAT an hour to come and disconnect/cap old piping and then return to install once we have ripped cupboards out.

Is this reasonable?

Sounds fine to me!

Thanks, have no experience of these sort of things, it sounded fair enough but thought it best to check.

How long do you think the job might take, 1hour or more?

The price sounds about right. It will probably only take an hour BUT it depends on the positioning of the original pipework etc. Companies play it safe sometimes because they don't know what is involved until they get there.
