Recycling - milk-bottle tops

Do any of you know whether there is anywhere that takes milk-bottle tops for recycling? I know you used to be able to donate them to a charity which bought guide dogs, but can you still? And where can I locate them?

Do you mean the foil ones?

I believe the local Brownies would accept them. Worth ringing and asking maybe. Our local
council provides foil-recycling bins. It might be worth ringing the council and asking as they should be able to tell you where you can recycle just about anything.

I used them to make shiney fish with DS1!

If they are foli then there are foil collection bins in some recycling areas, you just need to check what you have in your area. We recycle all our foil, but I don't like washing the takeaway cartons very much!

oops - foil not foli ! must take more time and preview these things!

hi rosiet, you can recycle foil. here is a link to a searchable website for recycling facilities, so you should hopefully be able to find one near you.

alternatively, if your local council is running a green box scheme, you might be able to use it to recycle foil from home.

Cheers, bk and anais ? I'll give them a try! At last I may be able to offload my huge stash!
