Elasticated settee covers

Has anyone bought the stretch sofa covers from online that are meant to cover your sofa and are elasticated at the bottom. I've bought the right size ,tied them at the bottom and I've used the spongey tubes that are meant to keep the covers down the back and sides of the sofa but as soon as we sit down they roll up. Has anyone any advice about keeping them in place? We've got cats that are clawing our leather settee and the little shits just lift the sofa throws to get to the leather so I thought I'd try the fitted ones and put the throws over them but there's still leather exposed. TIA.

Use bed sheet clips and the covers won’t move. The tubes will pop out from time to time but can easily be shoved back in. We also put a throw blanket over the bottom cushions so they can be thrown in the wash more easily but the upright cushions and the arms are still protected by the covers.
