Has anyone got any experience of when the CMS stop asking for child maintenance when a child finishes 6th form/college? The CMS keep saying it's an automated process but I've read stories online of the process not working. My understanding is that HMRC's latest cut off date for child benefit was 31st August. The CMS then claim their systems automatically update from information supplied from HMRC but are not transparent on how or when this happens. Does anyone have any experience of this process and how long it takes?
