Well asking on Mumsnet for recommendations can certainly be one branch of research, why not?

Chat GPT can be helpful as well. I would ask for info on registered specialists only, that's surgeons that do that type of procedure day in day out for years. I would also specifically ask for surgeons that do not advertise on sites like Real Self.

You could then try some different AI sites like Deep Seek and compare.

This would of course just be one other, of many ways to begin some research.
