Having a dippy moment and can't remember how to do it, sure it's to do with timesing by 100....

£215 (/85100)

2. 182.75/0.85 or (182.75/85)x100

Remember that 'of' means multiply, so

85% of 182.75 = 0.85 (or 85/100 if you prefer) x 182.75 =155.3375

The way I find out the second one is to find out what 1% is,

so 1% = 182.75/85 = 2.15, 100% = 2.15X100 = 215

1. 85/100 x 182.75

1. 85/100 x (x) = 182.75

85x = 182.75 x 100 = 18275 x = 18275/85
