Started WFH job last week. Already it's too much. Yes I have been on UC because of poor mental health and I was not actually required too look for work, but I didn't want to be on benefits anymore. Not being able to buy anything because it's not enough money, going hungry because their were other priorities like electric and gas. I am just struggling. Right now it's just training so technically I'm not even on the hard stuff like dealing with actual people. I don't know what I'm expecting out of this post, it's my first one ever. I know I'll probably get slated for being on UC but whatever I already feel low hate comments can't make me go any lower. Thanks I guess if you got this far, I hope you have a good evening.

New jobs can be like this. It's overwhelming and especially if WFH. WFH is great when established but it's a challenge when new.

Take one day at a time.

Well done!

Congratulations on your new job. The first weeks are always tough. Try to be kind to yourself and hang in there.

Keep going, it will get easier once you learn the ropes and think of the improvement in your quality of life and the extra money. You can't give up so quickly.

You didn’t want to be on benefits any more. Here is your chance but you need to have the confidence - to have been given the opportunity means someone believed you can do this. Trust them and don’t give up yet.

Congratulations on your new job, OP 🙂

I’ve been fully WFH for a couple of months now - I felt quite overwhelmed with information overload in the first few weeks and even became a bit teary when I had an IT issue, then that got fixed and things started to click…I am loving it now!

I think it’s very normal to feel like this in any new job - lots of new systems and processes to learn while also adapting to a new team and all the nervousness that can bring! Give it more time and don’t be hard on yourself - you are in training after all! Hope you start to feel better soon xxx

Well done for being brave and taking the job. It is not easy to learn but stick at it. Think of the wages and feel proud of what you are doing.

I’ve had several new jobs over the last 5 years. Every single time it has been HARD at the beginning. So many new things to learn, it is so exhausting. You just need to get through the next few weeks, good luck, you can do it! 😊
