If I search the products I want online, and take down the numbers for the packages they give online, are they the same as the numbers when I go in store? In other words, can I write them down tonight, nip in tomorrow and go straight to the warehouse and pick them or are the numbers different?

Can you tell I'm a nervous Ikea shopper?

God knows.
That place terrifies the life out of me, though I do like their stuff.

Yes, I think they are. I'm sure I did this when I was pg and couldn't be bothered to shop in there the conventional way.

Nursejo · 28/05/2008 19:20

I think the numbers are the same, same as all the weird names they have.

SpacePuppy · 28/05/2008 19:33

that's reassuring, thanks, I'm already dreading it.

i think so, but you will need to check on the PC in the warehouse to find out which aisle the products are on

MrsBadger · 28/05/2008 19:38

what Kristina said
and go in through the checkouts if you can

SpacePuppy · 28/05/2008 19:45

Ahh, didn't know there is a pc to help me out, and you can go in through the checkouts too. One might actually survive the ordeal, this take off about 3 of the 7 years I'm bound to loose to my lifespan!

Did you know Ikea deliver now? Not sure what Radius and how much, but they'd do all the lookin and lifting for you then.

tallbirduk · 28/05/2008 23:09

Oooo, IKEA online is FAB. We bought £800 worth of massive wardrobes and units online and had it all delivered for £35 - well worth not having to go to the shop!

SpacePuppy · 29/05/2008 07:59

yes, I tried the online shop last year, they took 10 weeks to deliver. They first took the money and then emailed me to say they have stock issues and that my only options were to cancel the order or wait!

we want to buy a sofa bed that will be mainly used as a sofa so would like to try it out before we commit to buying. DH is coming with so we'll try to be there for 10:00 am! I've read other threads where posters believe early in is the best option!
