Grandson had/ has head lice. He’s just been treated with the shampoo. Poor little fella. It’s so itchy and misersble especially in this heat !
I’ve been baby sitting him so I may well have caught it too.

I’ve unfortunately I’ve just been to the hairdresser and had my hair coloured. Will the lice treatment strip out the colour?😫

Also , I’ve seen these battery lice comb zappers. Do people find they work? Thinking it might be a sensible investment as I doubt this will be the only time we might need it, even if we’ve managed to get rid of them in one hit with the shampoo !
TIA

You can get rid of them without the shampoo, it’s just a bit more faff. Slather dry hair with conditioner and comb through with a nit comb. Rinse the comb in water every couple of combs. If you don’t find any nits the first night you should be okay. I think from recollection we repeated 3 nights in a row and then after a week. Got rid of my daughters nits and made sure we didn’t get any. We’ve never used the chemical shampoo.

I'm not a hairdresser but I do have (very) coloured and sadly have had to use nit shampoo twice.
It really stripped the colour out of mine both times, I think it's because you have to leave it on for so long.
