Mortgage worry

So basically me and DH are in the process of sorting a mortgage. We were told we had to do a security check each with the lender prior to the offer being issued. My partner is autistic and part deaf so I asked if I could deal with it. After the bloke on the phone having to check with the underwriter, he said it was fine they would liaise with the broker and go from there so no need to do the call.
Has this messed our chances up? I had an email from my broker saying to just do the call each off us and it will be better. Was the lender just saying it wasn't an issue even though it is? Really stressed now

I think they ask you questions around existing debt, monthly expenses, credit history etc.

The broker can't answer those questions for you because he won't know all the details. It isn't a big deal, just answer their questions, and if you can't remember any specific fact, say so. You can always go back to them with any missing information.

They might want to.speak.to your husband ans ask.his permission for you to.answer on his behalf. My wife finds using a phone difficult so we do this

Thank you guys. I appreciate the answers. Just stressing so much as they said not to worry about the security call but the broker is insisting we call back and do it properly. He said to have the expenditures form with me. Do I need income to verify or are they not likely to worry about that as they've had payslips and references etc? Thank you again for helping!!
