Moving to East devon

Hi, my husband and I are looking to move to east devon in the next couple of years. We have 4 kids (will be 14, 8 and 3 year old twins when we move) and was wondering if anyone could tell me if Axminster is a good place to live? We will move and rent for at least a year to make sure it's where we want to live but because of schools we need to make sure we're pretty certain on the area, because the last thing I want to do is have my children change schools just to uproot them all again a year later 😬 are the schools and nurseries good there?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Good place to live in what sense?

As in, nice area, nice people, good schools, just pleasant. If that makes sense!

To be fair, I suspect almost all of East Devon is pleasant.
I'm not sure I'd uproot a teen to Axminster though. Exeter or Exmouth maybe as there's more to do there with better transport links.

We had also considered Exmouth, the thing i worry about with Exeter is that because it's a city, are there some not so nice areas that you wouldn't necessarily know about until you lived there? 😬

The whole area is lovely to be honest
anywhere from Exeter along the river Exe has greater accessibility to trainline for all ages and great for future proofing as teens can be much more self sufficient. Also have great access to the coast and beaches. Axminster is nice but bit much for growing children
