Hi, Just wondered if anyone can recommend a good childrens entertainer for 6yr olds?
We're in South London.
I've been looking online but can't really get a sense of who will be good. Some also very expensive! We were thinking of up to £180. Ideally silly magic or circus skills type thing, games - especially dancing games/parachute games.
Thank you for any pointers!
I did post this in parties, but only had one response - I suppose only people who are currently planning parties go on those threads??
Starting to feel vaguely anxious I'm not going to be able to get anyone!!

I'm quite surprised Anchovy hasn't been along to recommend The Action Station (and credit me for putting her onto them )

Their circus skills party was a big hit for dd's 6th - very silly magic done by a lively chap who must have been 6 foot 5, plus then lots of goes with stilts & plate-spinners & so on.

Not sure how much they charge now (it's been a while) so whether they fit your budget. But everything we had from them was good (did a Wizard story-telling for ds's 5th or 6th); and Anchovy's used them more recently & was also happy.

My boys have been to a few parties with 'Gilbert Giggles' and they love him. We're SW London

I am completely clueless about him, but Google him and see what you get

thanks for that - will check them out!! Keep them coming as I'm a bit last minute and may need to try a few!! Thanks again.

Mini the Clown is based in south london somewhere and is brilliant. She costs around £180.

Can't do links, but google her.

We all love the Master of Disaster round our way
He is v. much S London. Slightly over your budget but worth every single penny. He rocks. (and no I am not related to him thank heavens as he lives in a suitcase according to dd)

bumpbumpbump · 23/05/2008 13:14

Oh, thanks for more tips - unfortunately Master of Disaster not available. Mini says she does up to 5 yrs old - but I'll ask if she's ok doing 6 yr olds...

Try this link:

Dd has been to a party with Willy WontHe as entertainer - and it was good fun. He's second from the bottom on link above (no idea about price though). If he's not available, the link gives lots of other possibilities.
