Mistake on child renewal passport

Hi, ive recently submitted my childs renewal passport application online and stupidly of me forgot to put her first name! Easy mistake, i was told to write a cover letter explaining the mistake and the name that needed to be put on there but now i am worried this will delay the process and we are due to fly in just under 6 weeks!

i did a similar thing a couple of years ago, I put my date of birth wrong on my sons passport renewal with about 6 weeks to go. I sent the letter by recorded/signed for asap and all was fine I think I had it back fairly quickly, I definitely wasn’t panicking about it so hopefully it will be ok. Send the letter asap and just hope for the best!

I sent the documents on Thursday with signed delivery so hopefully it will just be straight forward process, just didn’t want it taking longer because of them having to correct the application 🤦🏼‍♀️ so stressful🤣

I spelt DS's name wrong when I renewed his passport! I rang them up the next day, got through to the right people very easily, and told them. They confirmed that I wanted a like for like passport, made a note online, and they new passport arrived within a week.
