Hi all, I have a 15 month daughter and 6 months pregnant with a son living in north London Bounds Green. We are selling our current property and moving areas somewhere more rural but close to home for family. We’re thinking at Albans area, can anyone recommend best places for nursarys, primary and secondary schools where we wouldn’t have to move but also affordable house prices???

St Albans isn't cheap, nor is it rural, and the parking anywhere the city centre is horrendous. You might need to widen your search area a bit to find affordable properties.

What @BeNiceWhenItsFinishedsaid. I’ve recently bought here and although it’s gorgeous and works for us as close to family, I would have gotten a nicer house in Zone 2/3! It’s not cheap, or rural at all. I’d look elsewhere if those are your preferences.
