three doors down from me there is a rented house.
It has 3 beds, two receptiion rooms.
The family who own it initially put it up for sale(they didnt live in it, bought it to 'do up') wouldnt let us see it because and i quote" we are not the type they want"??( we are couple with one child, white working class)..so we buy this one three doors away..soon after we move in, we notice several(4-5 men coming and going to this other house, one car/van/minibus per man so in this road that causes probs in itself)
cut to now almost two years later, the men who stay/come and go to this house are NEVER the same ones, always different, they stick around for a couople of weeks, drive around in mini buses and cars full of duvets/pillows/fitted car seats or huge refridgeration vehicles..then leave.
the men are of variaous different racial backgrounds, but mainly african/albanian/polish etc etc, none of them speak english(when ive passed time of day)and if they do go out through day and ive passed on school run etc you get shouted at(maybe its just their accent/language that sounds more aggresive??) and eyeballed
My next door neighbour said there are women and children there too, but ive not seent hem myself(not as nosy as i sound eh)

Now, as daft as it sounds on face value on here, im beginning to wonder whats hapening, after 2 years, all different men, they only go out expect the odd occasion later towards night, have all differnt cars(so now a company they work for who moves them around and they get a pool car)..and most recently, theres 2 brand new very expensive sports cars parked outside most nights..they guys who go in and out seem to be worse off that me financially (we're not flush)and dont know how these cars are funded...

So im concerned, when i mentioned this a while ago in different thread, someone mentioned people trafficing..now all the flashy cars are pulling up im not sure?, i havent noticed anyone knocking around(dont think its drugs??)
More recently(this week) some of their cars have arrived smashed up(windscreens front and back smashed)

why are you caring

sorry, I may seem harsh, but am wondering what you are asking here????

It sounds as though the house is being rented out via an agent who is filling it with very short-term tenants until they get their own places - foreign nationals who have come here to work. They probably have very unsettled jobs - taxi driving (night shift in a shared minicab), seasonal agricultural work, building etc. When they get something a bit more settled, they find another place to stay, through family or colleagues, and move on. I'd guess that some have brought their wives and children - probably drove here all the way, sleeping in the car in laybys to keep the costs down. The women may have even less English than the men, and feel too nervous to go out much in a new country where aren't sure what's expected.

The new sports cars may be a way of putting their earnings into a transferrable form? Some countries may not let them bring/send money back into he country.

sorry dd needed me than take away arrived...
i was just concerned about the amount of people passing through, like i said someone on here once said it sounded like people trafficing, but i have no idea about this?

part nosy ness part concern over hte way the behave(shout abuse or whatever it is theyre saying) and wouldnt know who to speak to formally about it.

i didnt know about such leases AMum, maybe thats it?, but the manner of them and the smashed up cars, plus the pricy new ones makes me wonder?

I think people trafficking is usually women being brought in to work as prostitutes - this sounds more like a succession of men living there for whatever reason. I don't know what you can do if they make you uncomfortable - even if they're unpleasant, it doesn't sound like they're breaking any laws.

yeah another person suggested they may be illegal immigrants due to the vast amount and quick succession of them all?..but maybe its as you say and that they are coming over here and staying temp until they get something more solid??
