Hi all
I am due to have my whooping cough vaccination today as I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant. I have very high anxiety.
Is the vaccine safe when pregnant?
Etc.. Etc... ?? Constantly worrying of I should of shouldn't have the vaccine?

Has anyone had the vaccine while pregnant? Xxxx
Would you have it or not? Xxx
It's claim is to give the unborn baby protection from whooping cough when they are born.

Yes, please get it. To see little ones with whooping cough is awful. I wish they’d had the jab when I was having mine.

I would 100% have it. Babies die from whooping cough (in the UK 10 died in the 2024 outbreak) and it is a horrible, painful illness.

Yes. The whole point is to give your unborn baby protection. Lots of these 'old fashioned' diseases are on the rise as people fail to get vaccinated. Do not do that to your baby.

yes, it’s been around for years

The vaccine has been given to pregnant women for a good few years now as immunity to whooping cough can fade over time. Whooping cough is a dreadful illness which can make a tiny baby incredibly sick for months on end
