Pin Prick Rash

Hey,

Im hoping for some help or reassurance.
my 3 year old has come out in a pin prick rash all over her face. I took her to the pharmacist, she didn’t even look at her, just told me I was anxious and it’s fine because she offered her a sweet and she accepted it. Has anyone’s child had anything like this and what was the outcome?

Yeah I have done that and have an out of hours doctors appt later today, just hoping someone had some experience that could give me some peace of mind

Yes, my dc have both had these type of rashes when they were young but it was just viral.

If a child seems ill and it’s spreading then I would go to A&E, but it can just be part of a virus.

Non blanching rashes under the skin are basically broken blood vessels I get it in some areas (under eyes when vomitting thinner areas of skin if I scratch) and there is no underlying cause often have anginomas since I was a kid.

DS is also prone although has also had one due to sepsis and that was scary it grew when I was looking at it but he was also very ill with it

Hiya, did you get seen in the end? My son has this same rash and idk whether I need to get him seen or not? He’s 14months x
