her new swish HSM boxes yesterday, took me ages to put together..came upstairs to toilet after all children had gone and left dd(5) with her paper and felts..dd comes to bottom of stairs..mummy i need to show you someting, i said ill be down in a sec and she starts crying..she said shed'drawd' on her HSM box by accident..as it obv wasnt an accident as her and it were in seperate sides of payroom i ask her why she did it, she said she wanted to make it look pretty.

i told her i was anooyed that shed done it as she knew it was naughty, but i was glad she told me and not kept it secret..she started to cry again(relief at me not shouting at her?!)..when i shout her for dinner she says shes finishing off a picture for me..i say she can finish after dinner and to leave it out...when i go into playroom to tidy up..theres a little picture and on the back in dd's handwriting(like i say she's 5) "dear mummy sore(sorry) i drawd on my hi scool muscal box i wont do it agen i luve you xxx"..so glad i didnt shout bless her

Bless her. Sometimes they just do something that is so out of character and something that they really should have grown out of and you just think 'Why?' I'm sure your reaction has been of more benefit than shouting, she will remember that.
i dropped my favourite mug today on my stone kitchen floor and it smashed into a zillion pieces. i was so cross. About an hour later DS (age 6) came over to me with a picture, he had drawn me a piccie of my favourite mug and said he was going to remember to bu me one for Mother's day (bless, bet he has forgotten by March tho!)

Aw bless your ds..i was talking to friend about it today, for a 5yr old shes so thoughtful..she always was one to say sorry, but jsut lately instead of the quick"oh no im in trouble SORRY"!!!..if ive told her off, shes gone away and a little while later, she comes and finds me and says "im sorry i xy and z'd"..then she gets tears in her eyes and then i do too...its even more special because of her writing, the fact she has mis spelled words(obviously at this age) i think its so sweet and heartfelt
