i started another thread about dh cutting ds2 hair but i need to know-does he look like he has a mullet????

OP posts:
chrissnow · 14/05/2008 12:19

kinda, but a trendy/hippy cute mullet. Not an 80's footballer/soft rock band one
He's cute.

cheesesarnie · 14/05/2008 12:26

so do you think i can get away with letting it grow out?

OP posts:
Twinkie1 · 14/05/2008 12:30

Think the huge whacking fringe lets it down in the style stakes I am afraid!

What are you trying to achieve??

cheesesarnie · 14/05/2008 21:12

the huge whacking fringe was dh fault.
i just want to know whether to cut the rest short now or let the fringe grow out(is that what you mean by what im trying to achieve?)or failing that if mullets are likely to come back into fashion

OP posts:
cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 13:24

anyone else?

I think it's lovely, but it does look like a girls hair cut, not so much mullet, more bob

MascaraOHara · 15/05/2008 13:31

He looks like hes a bob, sorry.. he will get confused for a girl unless wearing very boyish clothes. partly because his hair looks fine. it's deffo the fringe though. did you whack dh?

cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 13:33

i told dh that if he ever ever touches any of the dc hair again it will be divorce!
so cut or grow out?i can stick a hat on couldnt i????

OP posts:
MascaraOHara · 15/05/2008 13:36

is his hair as fine in rl as it looks in pic?

I would cut the back a bit but leave it longish if that's what you want (until the fringe catches up).. get it shaped at the back and ask hairdresser to leav long around the neck.

Otherwise, if you don't want to get it cut.. use a bit of gell each day to give it a little style.

Or let him live in a bandana for the summer.

It's not a mullet, it's a bob.

RubySlippers · 15/05/2008 13:38

leave it - doesn't look mullety, just looks like a bob

My DS has very long blonde hair too

cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 13:39

its fine but not as fine as it looks in pic.bandana is good idea!
yes i suppose it is more bob than mullet-is that just as bad

MascaraOHara · 15/05/2008 13:41

little boy at dd's school with long blonde hair who wears a bandana (to keep it off his face) he looks gorgeous! and very trendy in a mini-sufer-dude kind of way.. it'll give it a chance to grow back.

mumblechum · 15/05/2008 13:42

I'd cut it tbh, I don't like it when I can't tell what sex a child is and always put my foot in it.

cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 13:43

youre fantastic!!!!! great idea!off bandana shopping!
rubbyslippers whats the front of your ds hair like?does he have bob/mullet?

OP posts:
cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 13:45

mumblechum we get a few people saying aww shes lovely whats her name then look funny when we say his name .but we live in cornwall so lots of men with long hair so not so unusual.

OP posts:
MinkyBorage · 15/05/2008 13:47

bob much worse than a mullet on a boy!

cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 13:47

lol oh no

OP posts:
MascaraOHara · 15/05/2008 13:49

yes agree.. mullet quite trendy at the min, bob... well, not so.

LynetteScavo · 15/05/2008 13:53

I hate mullets with a passion. Either go propper short back and sides, or leave it. He's only little.

RubySlippers · 15/05/2008 13:58

cheese - his fringe is not quite long enough to tuck behind his ears yet, so he is in an "in between" stage (ie partially mulletty )

He gets mistaken for a girl a lot - doens't bother me - he is beautiful

MinkyBorage · 15/05/2008 14:04

I love a mullet, my both my dds hair grew in to Mullet shapes naturally before the first cut, I loved it, like they'd just walked out of a trendy Hoxton salon!

cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 14:15

i think im going to go for letting it grow out.just for now atleast.

OP posts:
cheesesarnie · 15/05/2008 14:19
