May I ask what happens if a named driver is caught speeding? Will I, the car owner, be the one who gets into trouble?

I'm already upset as it is so please be kind, please ❤️

The car owner has to provide the driver details and the driver gets the fine.

If you’re the registered keeper of the vehicle you should get a notice of intended prosecution within 14 days of the alleged offence. You have an obligation to name the driver. The penalty for not doing so is usually greater than the speeding ticket. I would strongly suggest that you complete and return the paperwork or complete it online as opposed to passing it to the driver to complete because if they don’t do it you are the one that will be penalised. Once you have named them they will get their own correspondence regarding the matter.
