Hey,
my little one had a bulging fontanelle, we went to gp then to childs ward and we were kept in, lots of bloods, attempted lumber puncture, an ultrasound and then an MRI .. which was all clear! Obviously amazing.
Hes hitting all mile stones, and isn’t unwell in anyway but I am just wondering if anyone else has had this? It does still bulge (i think whenever he seems to have a cold but docs said shouldn’t be related) and always on a morning and lasts until around lunch time.. this isn’t every day and has improved. Docs have said they just presume it will resolve on its own but have a follow up apt in 3 months to check head circumference etc.
my worry is, something MUST be causing the swelling, and where will the swelling go when the fontanelle is closed?
thanks!
