Oh feck it, new laptop not compatible with a programme now what?

Bought brand spanking new laptop last weekend with vista on it.

Been loading programmes on over the week and loaded Sage yesterday and its not bloody compatible with vista.

Have checked on the Sage website and this particular edition isn't compatible.

Now what grrrr only reason I bought this laptop was due to certain features making it accounts friendly.

doesn't come close at the moment.

Can you upgrade to a new version of the software?

If not is there other software out there that does the same thing. I know nothing about Sage, but there are free (open source) replacements for Microsoft Office for example.

I could get newer version of software but would be VERY expensive and there isn't anything free that does the job sadly (plus I have lots of accounts on there already!).

DH and I presumed that it would run it we even told them in the shop what we wanted it for and they never said anything.

Guess I will be packing my nice shiny new laptop back into its box
