Renewing driving licence

My driving licence needs renewing next month I got married 3 years ago nearly 4 if I changed to my married name would I get in trouble for leaving it?
Passport still in maiden name but runs out next year.
Am I able to just continue to use my maiden name?

Looks like no - you won't get into trouble unless you changed your name by deed poll - you're still entitled to use your maiden name. If you want to change to married name when you renew I think they just need a copy of the marriage cert. If changing address you do have to update.

I'd get it changed to your married name if you want to be able to use it for id and you use your married name.
