arghhhhh, I cant turn the volume down on the pc!!!!!

HELP!!!

It just goes straight back up to full volume whhen I turn it down.

Yes, but that dont work either, even restarting the computer does'nt work.

Does this happen when you use a certain player?

How are you turning it down. Most players have a volume control, but Windows also has one. If you can't see it in the system tray (bottom right) then go to control panel and open 'Sounds and Audio Devices' and tick the box for 'Show volume control in taskbar'

Cant turn it down by the speakers, the system tray or the keyboard or the control panel........weird eh?

also the volume bar is permanently on the screen and flashing very fast as if someone is pressing the button to turn it up.

Have you recently installed anything new?

You might want to run a check with your antivirus program.
Also you could install and run Spybot since that checks for different things.
