Moving to or near Lancaster

I may be relocating to Lancaster area. What are the nicer areas to live in Lancaster and what villages/towns are worth considering to live within about 30 minutes drive? Any advice / tips welcome as I don’t know the area. Thanks!

The villages to the north are lovely- the Kellets etc. Slightly further north are places like Arkholme which is lovely too. What's your budget?
