We have just done the same after 5 years out of the market..

Thanks everyone is out getting an indian take away and a bottle of Sancerre to celebrate!

I am so so so pleased. It means a garden, it means another bedroom (we are in a 2 bed apartment right now) AND it means the possibility of expanding our family . DH says it only makes it possible, not likely....ok DH whatever you say!

DH is getting all serious. What about fees? Should we really let the bastard estate agents get our money? What if someone pulls out of our sale and we have already bid, we might lose money on our place. It might all go wrong...blah blah.

Dont care!

oh pavlov well done! you sound so happy .

i dream of the day i own a house. as a single parent still doing my degree the day is far way off

but i will make it!!!!!!!

Pavlovthecat · 08/05/2008 23:08

mama - it will happen, you are obviously working hard towards it!

We worked hard. Really hard. But we have also had a couple of losses and a little luck to help this become possible.

More important than the fact that we will be owning a house rather than our small flat, DD will have a garden. She is a very outdoors girl and I hate her not being able to just run around in the garden while I (or DH) cook.

I was not sure we would get to this point, and even today waiting for my financial advisor to let me know about mortgage co decision, I was convinced we would be stuck here for another 2 years at least. I have no nails left!

well i'm very pleased for you and your dd. a summer beckons with you drinking wine in your garden, dd playing around, your dh cooking on the barbeque... in YOUR garden.

oooh i'm so jealous
