Have you ever been scammed?

I received a message n Whatapp re: job on commission rating apps. But coming across “lucky task “ your balance gets negative and you need to transfer money to balance it out and after completing the task you can withdraw all your money and commission. 🤔
I know it sounds suspicious and just looking for confirmation.

This sounds like a scam. Do not transfer any money or provide card details.
If you have already contact your bank asap.

Any legitimate employer would never ask you to pay them money.

Yes of course it's a scam, any "job" that requires you to send money to get money is a scam. And really what reputable company would contact people for a job randomly on WhatsApp? It's not so much a red flag as a red marquee that could be seen from space.

If you ever get any whatsapp messages about work, deals, prizes, contests or anything from a number you don't recognise, it's 99.9% of the time going to be a scam. Report the chat and block them.

Yep, it's a scam. Block, report, delete, ignore, do nothing more, just go back to your evening and don't give it a second thought.

Yep it’s a scam. As other PPs have said, no legitimate employer would be asking you to send money. Scammers like this even post ads on genuine job sites so beware. A few years ago I responded to an ad on a recruitment website (think it was Indeed) which seemed like a legit posting. I got a reply asking me to purchase a pack for £xxx in order to carry out the role. When I asked more questions about the role, they simply replied saying ‘the pack will tell you everything you need to know’. Needless to say I didn’t buy it!

100% scam.

Anything that looks suspicious (and this isn't even one of the clever scams) pretty much is.
