Any Sonographers on here?

looking for some advice. Went for a scan a few days ago, and although I should be 9 weeks pregnant from the date of lmp, on the scan it showed 7 weeks. But I’m convinced I can see 2 heartbeats on the scan, I’ll upload the video and please tell me what you think or if I’m just seeing things! My partner is a twin and I have twins in my side of the family too. Thank you in advance Scan

Looks like 2 to me but surely that wouldn't be missed

It does look like two heartbeats, but the one on the left looks different. Could be something else? Can you go back and ask?

Agree that it's always worth checking. I can see what you mean, but it's not in the sac so I wonder whether I could be the placenta?

i went to a private clinic, thinking of booking a second scan somewhere else for another opinion as I don’t think I can wait until the 12 weeks scan! It’s driving me crazy coz I honestly feel like I can see two, glad you see it too 😂

If you’re 10 weeks pregnant now with twins you will already be quite big
When I had my first scan at ten weeks, because the midwife had concerns, I walked in and the sonographer started the conversation by saying ‘well lets see if there two or three in there’.!
It was obvious just looking at all those waiting who were 12 weeks that I was so much bigger

So are you bigger ?

Id visit your midwife if I were you and ask what they think.

Of note.
Having twins on your dhs side is irrelevant. It’s all about your genes and ability to produce more eggs. Men can’t make you do that. If your female line has twins then you will carry the gene.
