Does NHS still do anal tags?

Hello - I've been looking at threads on anal tags but can't see anything recent. I'm 76 and gave birth in 1968. I've had anal tags and difficulty going to the loo ever since, because my anus is so narrow. Being of an older generation I was always too embarrassed to talk to a doctor - until a couple of years ago. But the first time I was told it wasn't anal tags, just old piles (which is not true). The second time I was simply told the NHS doesn't do the operation any more! Is that the case does anyone know? I'm in Scotland, if that makes a difference.
Any advice welcome please.

I believe no as they are worried about causing fistulas (?) holes basically (England). If you have narrowing of bowel and anal tags could you have an inflammatory bowel disorder?

Winter2020 - Thanks for your reply but it's not my bowel that is narrow, just the exit point - because it's partially blocked. Though I have had ibs at times when I've been stressed.

I work in colorectal surgery, they are still a thing and done in clinic depending on severity. Not all hospitals offer it but I would ask for a referral to colorectal/proctology.

I have a bit of a skin tag - Blamed on giving birth apparently.

My GP tried to freeze it off - The pain!!
I think this was the wrong treatment and shouldn’t have been attempted and it never worked anyway. I haven’t been back to chase it further as it doesn’t really bother me but maybe I should.
