I am hoping to get some advice please. Having lived all my life in London, being mixed race and having Brixton on my doorstep. I am now looking to relocate out of London with my young family. With a 6 year old and partner from East Lancashire we are looking for diversity and good schools.I appreciate London is very unique in terms of diversity - but would like some. We are looking at East Lancashire / West Yorkshire areas. I would appreciate any thoughts TIA.

Leeds is very culturally diverse and has lots of different scenes. It’s basically like a much smaller version of London.

Happy to offer some suggestions re house hunting if I knew your budget - there are some vastly different prices in the city - e.g LS17 the average house price is comparable to London (although bigger houses!)

Hi! I live near Leeds and work in East Lancashire so hopefully I can help!

East Lancashire is far more diverse in general than Leeds but there are areas of Leeds with much greater diversity than others.

East Lancashire is likely to be cheaper as well but there are so many options.

What are you looking for in terms of house etc

I live in Leeds. It's the second most diverse city, after London. My children are mixed race and fit in well here. I love Leeds.

Thank you so much guys.... In terms of house probably looking at least 4 bedrooms, decent size, garden, semi or detached. The main thing I guess is the schooling. Budget looking at £4....
sallyWD which area of Leeds are in if you don't mind me asking?

Chapel Allerton is popular with families and has a mix of ethnicities.
