I was with a friend yesterday & we both have 8 year old children, mine is a girl, hers is a boy. They both needed the toilet & as they ran towards the girls toilet together, I called out "Hold on _, that's the girls toilet!" His Mum snarled at me & said "It's okay, he can use the girls!" Then she walked off in a huff. At school they have boys & girls toilets, I don't take my daughter into the men's toilet anymore, I don't think an 8 year old boy should be using the girls toilet. What's the general consensus?

Any older than around 7 then no, he should be using the mens toilets to be fair. But I can sort of understand not wanting to let a young boy go into a mens toilet alone though. There are some wrong uns about sadly. It's difficult I suppose when both adults are female.

8 is really cuspy isn't it?

I wouldn't judge any mum who let's her 8 or 9 year old boy use the ladies if there's no responsible male to accompany then into the toilet.

Is this really worth getting het up about?
