Housing assosiation help please

Hi so I was made homeless by my dad who wasn’t happy about the situation and lived in a tiny flat so I couldn’t stay there. Basically the council put me in emergency and then temporary out of area, due to me being out of the area a year I am catD and struggled with the bidding. They then put on 40 flat about a year later and I got one. When I went to view it was the smallest flat I’d ever seen but it was 2 bedroom so I accepted.

i am not back to work yet so they told me to get a dhp to pay the deposit as also this flat is £1200 per month which is expensive!

the shop have just told me there only going to pay 1 week of the rents deposit as they have run out of fund from the amount of people applying. What can I do??

Is this a social housing flat? They don't usually ask for a deposit, in my experience. Who is the landlord?

Social Housing/HAs don't ask for deposits. They may ask for the rent to be paid at the start of the month, but they do not ask for payment of a deposit.

OP HA don't usually ask for a deposit and they tell you the rent upfront before you accept. If you can't afford the rent, you're going to be evicted.

So have you, your partner and your baby all been living in an emergency accomodstion before this?
