Going to moan and don't know where to put it. Basically, someone took a credit card out in my name and used it. First I knew was when a letter arrived saying there was unusual activity so they had blocked it until I confirmed it was me. Few days later a pin number arrived. Don't know how they got the card if the pin came to me but that's beside the point. They said they would investigate and write to me within 14 days. It's nearly the 14 days and I haven't heard. I will chase if I don't hear but I just wondered if anyone had experience of this and what they might put in the letter? Will I get information on who has used the card? I know it was used for cash withdrawals and at petrol stations. Will they have access to the CCTV? I'm in the process of trying to find a mortgage lender when I have defaults from years back and I'm not impressed someone used a credit card for a cash withdrawal as it's had a negative effect :(
