I'm desperate for help!

I suffer with Cardiophobia / Health Anxiety, I have had therapy which has helped but I am desperate to be normal again, I can manage it but the thoughts enter my head daily and it's making me miserable, I just want to be how I was before all of this.

Can anyone suggest anything that can help me

Hi OP i have therapy for health anxiety not specifically heart related so I understand the daily noise in your head.

CBT helps me the most, but mine got so much worse when I wasn't on HRT, when I got my hormones under control it eased up a bit.

What age are you and are you suffering any other symptoms at the moment? Peri can really kick off symptoms in my case.

I'm 41 and no other symptoms of peri as far as I am aware.

Mine started almost 2 years ago. I'm much better but the daily noise is taking its toll.

I have an actual heart condition which naturally drives anxiety as well.

CBT is very helpful, I've found. And I just have a list of things I do to keep my anxiety down:
distraction
daily walks
mutlivitamins and minerals
no caffeine or alcohol
sufficient rest
doing things with people
phoning a friend

Also celebrate your progress. It's now improved and daily (but you haven't said hourly or constant). That's good. It may not go away entirely, but keep making small steps and it will get down to a level you can live with eventually.

Thank you, sometimes I forget how far I have come and beat myself up about it all
