When Do you think they stop playing Christmas Songs on the radio

Some radio Stations would tend to stop Christmas Day at midnight and some would have Boxing Day part of the Christmas music and stop at midnight on that day. Christmas Day at midnight would work well for all this year as radio stations Capital and Heart in the UK started in early November which is too early.

So when do you think they should stop.

Boxing day? I guess some might tolerate it up to new years eve. But that's a bit much for me!

Definitely not past Boxing Day. If it was up to me, I'd have stopped them already because the cheesy ones drive me crazy. Bah humbug! Xmas Smile

Good question. I still see the week between Xmas and NY as Christmas season, so would be happy to still hear Xmas songs.

They should stop at the end of 5th January. Same as when decorations should come down. What with that being the 12th of the 12 days.

Some Christmas Songs are to do with the build up to Christmas than Christmas Day "All I Want" "Santa Claus is coming". And the lyrics in some christmas songs would work perfectly up until March even April, Like Shakin Stephens merry christmas which starts with "Snow is falling". I think in britain "Baby it's cold outside" would work for any time of year, maybe people were singing it during the cold weather we had in the summer. I do think aswell if people want to keep the festive spirit all year round, Maybe a Valentines, Easter. Summer and Halloween, themed version of christmas songs with it being re sung and played on the radio

New Years Eve. I think Christmas is pretty much over by then.

I think of Christmas as the period between Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

It's sad that radio stations and music channels start playing Christmas songs from 1 November and then Boxing Day its all gone. There is always too much rush now to move on to the next season before the last one is really over.
