Has anyone got any tips to prevent hangovers? (apart from not drinking!)

I'm dreading the tiredness over the festivities, even when I don't drink much and go to bed early I'm really tired the next day from the alcohol and I'm not sure how I'll cope with the family get togethers back to back 🤦🏻‍♀️

Does anyone have any tips? I drink a lot of water too which I know helps.

Don't eat anything salty. Take a glass of water to bed and hope for the best.

Dd today bought liquid IV from Boots just in case! She doesn’t drink much often but she wants to be prepared after NYE. It’s just electrolytes, you could easily just have some salty marmite toast, a sugary bar of chocolate and a couple of pints of water and it’s basically going to do the same thing! Or a bottle of lucozade or similar.
My personal cure is a full fat can of coke but the reality is I rarely drink more than a couple
tbese days as I can’t handle the hangovers like I used to!

Make sure you are well hydrated before you start drinking. Then have at least a pint of water before you go to bed, with the normal dose you'd take of your painkiller of choice. Try to get to sleep at a reasonable time.

Glass of water in between each drink, paracetamol before bed. There are certain drinks I know give me a hangover, even in small quantities, so I don't have those and avoid cheap wine. The reality is though, drink less. Which do you want more the alcohol or no hangover? I don't sleep well if I've had too much to drink and I like my sleep more than the booze 😂

Lots of water. I also don't get a hangover from gin so I tend to switch to that quite early on.

Avoid cheap wine and try to keep eating. Bar snacks, grabbing something on the way home, or just some toast before sleeping always works for me. Rehydration sachet in the morning and, like a PP, a coke or a sweet tea makes me feel better the next day.
