Vinted - InPost stuck wrong label on parcel

Has anyone else had this happen?

It's so frustrating. I sold a limited edition garment to a customer who had been trying to get it for ages and she messaged me today to say that she has received a random pair of trousers instead.

After I was able to verify that her name and address was on the parcel, I can only assume that InPost has stuck her label on a parcel that was not mine (I used the digital label-free option as I don't have a printer).

I have messaged both Vinted and InPost to complain but haven't heard anything as yet.

It's just so annoying...

Yes, I’ve had this happen. You both need to raise an issue with Vinted. They'll ask for lots of pictures for evidence and after a stupidly long time you’ll both receive a refund, and neither of you will receive the original item.
I no longer use Inpost for this reason.

The customer has raised an issue as though it's my fault though 'item not described' and that I had sent the wrong item. I explained to her what must have happened. And I have also contacted Vinted. I have a perfect feedback score as a seller. I think she is just particularly annoyed because this item she wanted is unlikely to reach her.

I am going to stop using InPost! At least with yodel / Evri you see them print the label.

Yes this happened to me a few months back. Super annoying — bought a dress for myself and ended up with a bag of age 10 - 11 clothes haul from Shein. Both me and seller eventually got a refund after an investigation where I had to take photos of stuff to prove what I received. Very irritating and who knows where that dress ended up!? You’d think they would have some ability to trace through Vinted/in post as I’m presuming someone else didn’t get what they ordered and they could match it up… Hope you have better luck!

Yes, I feel really sad for the buyer because she had been looking for this top for ages apparently. I've switched off InPost now - bloody annoying. You live and learn...

After a month my buyer has been refunded... still waiting for mine.

I now wrote my number on parcels.

I have a parcel missing through inmost. It's been 26 days and tracking still stuck at 'dropped of by seller'.
I won't be using inpost again either.

Vinted postage options are a mess now, so restrictive. I live in a remote area so Royal Mail is my only option when selling. Until recently I could print the label and book a collection by the postie. Now there's no option to print the label, only that digital label thing. So I can no longer arrange collections. The post office is too far away, I'm not traipsing there every time I sell a low value item. So back to eBay I go.
