What to do with old letters

I've sorting through some stuff in the attic and came across letters from my uni days and twenties. Writing letters was the major way of communicating with people when I was young. But what on earth do I do with them now? Seems a bit mean to chuck them in the recycling!

If they're sentimental, take a photo and save them to a digital album and then dispose of them 🙂

That's a really good idea.

I kept all personal letters for absolutely years and years and then ended up throwing most of them out - mainly ones from my mother and my sister but also some from my 1st DH They actually upset me when I read them so I was glad to let them go eventually.

I've still got all the letters and birthday cards and Christmas and Valentines cards my 2nd DH sent me and he's been dead 19 years.I shall now think about whether doing as Maycup suggested would work for me or whether I still don't feel ready to let them go.

Can't you keep them? Letters don't take up much space.

Keep the sentimental ones and throw out the rest?
