I’m hoping for some guidance as I feel completely of my depth on how to advise my 17 year old about their next steps in the music industry. They sing and play guitar on TikTok (mostly covers) and have built up a following. A video recently went viral and they have been approached by over 10 different A&R people from labels and management companies here and in the US and they all want a piece of them. Where do we even start with all of this? Their sibling is currently acting as their manager and has started taking meetings for them. Have any parents on here been through similar and can share advice? Or anyone from the industry that can offer some insights? I have had such great advice from this platform in the past.
