Its 5 weeks to go to bonfire night, and its started. Its not a party/event. But local kids/teens letting off loud fireworks on a roundabout for the past 3 hours. Every flippen year its the same. Then later they let off random ones over night. Where the heck do they get the money? then they will all be whining when the budget hits. My poor dog will have to suffer until at least April. I,m sick off it now, if it was one weekend it would be ok. But its any time day or night, and you cannot plan for that.

It's sickening.

The sooner they ban the sale of all fireworks the better as far as I'm concerned. Organised firework events are fair enough I suppose though I'm not even a fan of those.

I think it's interesting that some places - Glasgow and Edinburgh are the ones I've heard about - have introduced certain zones designated fireworks free. Where it will be a criminal offence to be found with fireworks. I'm assuming this is in answer to the increasingly common problem of fireworks being used as offensive weapons and directed at the police during disturbances rather than concerns about animal and general welfare.

Whatever the reason banning general sale of fireworks can only be a good thing.
