hey, I’m 6 months postpartum today and I haven’t breastfed for like 4 months ish is it normal that I’m still getting milk when I don’t pump or breastfeed, I didn’t know who else to ask 🤣I’m also on the pill aswell I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it, has anyone else been through this where they are still producing milk 6 months after having a baby

Are you on the mini pill? I found that it seems to be good at making milk!!

Soph12344 · 23/09/2024 11:20

I’m on the pill I’m not too sure if it’s the mini pill I take it everyday with no break, atleast I know that could be it, thank you so much for getting back to me

I honesldt don’t know, I was told combined pull you couldnt take when breastfeeding as dried up milk.

Yes sounds like the mini pill if there's no break. They normally won't put you on the combined one if you're breastfeeding :)

I kept producing something for a few years, if I squeezed it. As time went on, it seemed to be more a secretion than recognisable milk.

I can’t remember how long I kept producing milk for but it was ages. Littlest stopped feeding around the 20 months mark and I could hand express drops in the shower for months if not years after.
