A ‘birthrate counter’ I think it was a theme park. There was a counter at the entrance. It would rotate round the units every second or so. If it was at Disney it wasn't there last tome we went back. Other theme parks I went to as a kid were universal, alton towers, wonderland, thorpe park… oh and the old planetarium at Baker Street. Could it have been there?

Could it have been Epcot? I also remember this but don't know why or where!

During Covid the global stats site had something similar. It showed the population going up and down, births and deaths. Despite all the hype re Covid deaths there was always net gain.

Epcots a possibility! Early 90s??

Not there now though. I will go and google and come back.

There was one in the old Guinness world of records in the Trocadero also a death one

I think this was the World Population Clock at Epcot. It was in the Communicore Pavilion. This article mentions it. https://factsandfigment.com/dearly-departed-disney-communicore-the-brain-of-epcot/

I think it did show the world population although in this image it seems to say US Population.

I think that must be it thank you! I thought world too though and in my head I’ve made it black and white like an old alarm clock face.

I do remember as a little kid wondering why it wasn't showing deaths. Grim!

thank you for helping me feel less mad.
